Step by Step

6 Steps to Register

1

Visit Official Portal

Go to wbcap.in and click on 'New Registration'. Make sure you are on the official government portal.

Tip: Bookmark the official site to avoid phishing scams.

2

Create Account

Enter your mobile number and email. You will receive an OTP for verification. Use a working phone number — all updates will be sent here.

Tip: Use your own number, not a parent's. You need access to OTPs throughout the process.

3

Fill Personal Details

Enter name (exactly as on Class 12 marksheet), date of birth, category (General/SC/ST/OBC), and domicile status.

Tip: Any mismatch with official documents can disqualify your application.

4

Upload Documents

Upload scanned copies of: Class 12 marksheet, domicile certificate, category certificate (if applicable), and passport photo.

Tip: Keep file sizes under 200KB. Use clear, legible scans.

5

Pay Registration Fee

Pay the registration fee online. General category: ₹500, SC/ST: ₹250. Save the payment receipt.

Tip: Take a screenshot of successful payment. Print the receipt for records.

6

Submit and Print

Review all details before final submission. After submission, print the confirmation page and application form.

Tip: You cannot edit after submission. Double-check everything.

Common Mistakes

These errors cause rejection or delays every year. Double-check before submitting.

  • Using someone else's mobile number
  • Uploading blurry or cropped documents
  • Missing the registration deadline
  • Not saving the payment receipt
